On 24 August 2026, Assumption College Samutprakarn (ACSP) warmly welcomed students from Asahijuku Secondary School, Okayama, Japan (ASJJ), for the Overseas Thai Cultural Study Tour for Japanese Students.

The school held a welcoming ceremony headed by ACSP Vice Director Bro. Panuwat Meauntup, presented special souvenirs to the ASJJ students, and joined them for a documentation session to mark the start of their cultural exchange journey here in Thailand.

The students then participated in an orientation and school tour, accompanied by their ACSP Buddies who served as their guides. This allowed the ASJJ students to become familiar with the school while meeting and connecting with Thai students around the campus.

As part of their cultural learning experience, ASJJ students attended a Thai language class to become more familiar with the language and culture. They also participated in Japanese and Thai cultural activities, allowing both groups to share their traditions, learn from one another, and enjoy meaningful cultural experiences together.

At the end of the day, the students returned to their host families, who will take care of them throughout their stay in Thailand and share with them the opportunity to experience the Thai family warmth and hospitality.

The Overseas Thai Cultural Study Tour for Japanese Students aims to impart a deeper understanding of Thai culture while providing opportunities for both Thai and Japanese students to build friendships, exchange cultures, and learn from one another. The program also strengthens the relationship between ACSP and ASJJ institutions and contributes to ACSP’s goal of developing a strong international academic network.

The first day tour was a wonderful beginning to a meaningful journey of cultural discovery, friendship, and unforgettable memories. We look forward to the exciting experiences and connections that await in the days ahead.
