On September 9 and 11, 2026, our Primary 3/7 and 3/8 students took part in a fun and creative English Supplementary project called “Making Mask Theater.”
As part of the project, students learned about two famous theater masks: the Comedy Mask and the Tragedy Mask. The Comedy Mask represents happiness, laughter, and funny moments, while the Tragedy Mask represents sadness, serious feelings, and dramatic moments. Students explored how these two masks can be used to express different emotions and ideas in theater.
After learning about the two types of masks, each student created their own theater mask using paper. They used their imagination to design and decorate their masks, choosing different expressions and details to show whether their mask represented comedy or tragedy.
Through this hands-on activity, students had the opportunity to develop their creativity while learning about theater, emotions, and character expression. They also learned that masks can help actors communicate feelings and bring characters and stories to life.
Throughout the activity, students carefully followed the instructions and worked independently to create their masks. Each student had the opportunity to express their own ideas, resulting in a wonderful variety of unique and imaginative designs.
Every student showed great effort and enthusiasm throughout the project. Their wonderful mask creations were full of creativity and imagination, reflecting their individual ideas and artistic expression.
All students were also well-prepared for the activity by bringing the necessary materials and carefully following the instructions. Their dedication, creativity, and active participation made this project a fun and meaningful English learning experience.
We are incredibly proud of all our students for their creativity, imagination, preparation, and hard work throughout this enjoyable learning experience!
