The P5/7 Mathematics class was filled with excitement as students presented their Fraction Trees. Taught by Mr. Elliot Morris and Mr. Khongrit, the students worked in small groups. Each team built a “fraction tree,” using materials ranging from cardboard to popsicle sticks.
The purpose of the Fraction Tree was to demonstrate how to simplify fractions by using the cutting method to reduce them to their simplest form.
Students eagerly presented their finished trees, explaining their construction choices and how they navigated challenges to get their structures standing tall.
The activity achieved much more than just a math lesson; it highlighted the true value of teamwork, creative problem-solving, and collaboration.
