On August 24 and 25, 2026, our Primary 3/7 and 3/8 students took part in an exciting and imaginative English Supplementary project called “Meet My Monster Plant.”

Each student created their own unique carnivorous plant using playdough and explored the characteristics of their imaginary plant. As part of the project, students answered four interesting questions about their creations: Where does it grow? What does it look like? What food does it need, and how does it catch its food?

Through this hands-on activity, students had the opportunity to use their imagination and creativity while learning vocabulary related to plants, habitats, food, and describing living things. They also practised expressing their ideas in English by explaining the special features and abilities of their own monster plants.

Every student showed great effort and enthusiasm in creating their carnivorous plants. Their wonderful creations were full of creativity and imagination, with each plant having its own unique appearance, habitat, food, and way of catching food.

All students were also well-prepared for the activity by bringing the necessary materials and carefully following the instructions. Their dedication and active participation made this project a fun and meaningful English learning experience.

We are incredibly proud of all our students for their creativity, imagination, preparation, and hard work throughout this enjoyable learning experience!
